Michael Schurr is in his 12th year of teaching, 8 of which have been spent at Riverdale Country School, a coed day school in Bronx, New York. He is currently a 3rd grade co-teacher as well as the Leader of the Assistant Teacher Mentor Program at RCS. Michael assisted in the creation of the Design Thinking for Educators toolkit, a collaborative project between IDEO and RCS. Michael has facilitated workshops about design thinking for Edutopia, NAIS National Conference and independent schools across the country. He is passionate about sharing the design principles with fellow educators.

Awesome! Thank you for clarifying. I'd love to flesh this idea out with you in more detail. I am especially curious about how students are formulating their perspective without making assumptions. Might be a way to create norms or protocols around empathizing with a peer. Or maybe you have already done this. Excited to work on this with you.
