If you're not currently teaching, what are you focused on?:
My focus is personalizing learning so learners of all ages have a voice and choice using design-thinking, makerspaces, and project and problem-based learning. I also focus on coaching and building communities of learners.
I work with teachers and administrators around the world from PreK-20. I co-authored Make Learning Personal and facilitate change and transforming education.
I work with all subjects and am trying to transform ed to competency-based systems that teach kids not subjects.
How many years have you been teaching?:
"An empty page, wall, or room so kids can be part of the design team."
I am a Creative Learning Strategist, co-founder of Personalize Learning, LLC (www.personalizelearning.com), co-author of Make Learning Personal, founder/owner of My eCoach (my-ecoach.com, and Rethinking Learning (barbarabray.net). I love to write and share stories where learners own and drive learning. I am an advocate of teachers who do all they can for kids and share their stories. My job is to connect people and ideas. I also bring in ideas that shake up the system and push the edge so all of us can "Be the Change" we need now for our kids and their future.
Thank you Chris! This is very helpful in identifying who you are as an individual - becoming self-aware of who you want to be. I'd like to share some ideasabout self-directed and self-regulated learning for learners.
