"Rounds" for Parents?

How might we leverage best practices from the medical field "rounds" process to build communications, collaboration and parent engagement?

Lisa - I love the support of the Teacher's Guild coaches! If you'd be willing, I would greatly appreciate your support for Guideposts to Success by heading to the post and leaving a positive evaluation, as well as suggestions to grow the idea even more! Thank you!

YES! make it about engagement, showing, and experiencing - not telling.

I love this idea as a way to build student agency AND bolster parent relationships.  Students could "practice" their pitch and demonstrate their competency in order to lead a demonstration of a recently learned skill.  Maybe each class could have a student "present their findings (5-10 minutes) and parents could move from room to room (just like medical rounds)

Rounds are interesting because the doctors go to the patients... so would the teachers go to the parents? What about in-home visits where the teachers visits students and their families in their home?

Love this idea in terms of in-home visits. Lots around this for district/school admin to figure out (release time, after-hours pay, etc) and I would love to see how it could play out.

Lisa... I love this idea of meeting parents where they are at. Would be cool to hear the parent perspective of this as well. So cool!

Plan to interview and film our parent association moms about this!
