Parents like chatty teachers, teachers however like to say only a few words

Teachers have to do this twice a year, and its like preparing for war. Teachers like to make a statement per student, parents more.

Its a very structured day with parents being notified well in advanced on the dates and times to come to school. Teachers too start collating materials on their students to know what exactly to tell the parents. What should be a heart-to-heart talk turns into a match of words. Teachers dont want to upset parents and sometimes cant afford to praise highly any child openly. Parents who know how their kid is doing, are short and quick but some parents have fears about their kids performance and end up asking too much.

In the end, it feels like a one-off event, when it actually can be alot more.
