Students regularly conference with their mentor teacher regarding their progress/ goals/ challenges. Adding the parents into this regular practice is then not complicated.

[Optional] Synthesize a little! In one sentence, describe something you learned from your empathy exercises or analogous research.

A significant relationship with their mentor teacher is the cornerstone of why this works. They teach/ coach the child not the subject.

This is a great Idea. I mentor my advisory (homeroom) and caseload students on a weekly bases but I have yet to involve parents in our discussions. My main struggle is that my caseload students parents first language is Spanish and majority do not have email. How could I solve this issue?

That's a cool system. And we all know that relationships are key in education. Could you post a photo that sums up that relationship? Doesn't have to be one you've taken but could be. Photos add to the post and will get more people to read about your ideas!
