Partner with cool local spaces, places, and businesses who could host parent-teacher conferences outside of school.

Parent-teacher conferences don't just have to be at school. Developing partnerships with local businesses, restaurants, and cool spaces would allow for variety and excitement and awesomeness.

You could partner with organizations & reserve space at:
• Restaurants
• Co-working spaces
• Local start ups
• Bowling alleys
• Parks

The "conference" when held outside of school could feel more like an exciting family outing instead of a daunting visit to school. And the variety of spaces would give you options throughout the year and beyond.

This is a fabulous idea that we are going to try at my school. I would love to work on this one. Do we have a Google Doc started?

There's no doc started yet, but you should definitely start one!

We have an employer at our town that probably houses half of our students families.  It would be interesting to have parent-teacher conferences where they are during their lunch break to meet with them.

I like this idea!!

Trever Reeh That sounds cool Trever. What type of business are they? And what other employers/business might want to host conferences?

Meat packing plant.

I know Omaha just built a DoSpace which would be a good place to have parent-teacher conferences, especially with what they now offer.
