In-School SAT/ACT Testing

What if we provided funding to states and districts to mandate SAT/ACT testing during the actual school day (rather than on a Saturday)?

This is a great idea and something that has worked well in North Carolina! NC requires all public and charter school students who are in 11th grade for the first time to take the ACT with writing. Since it is a required exam, the state pays for it and it is offered during the school day and during the school week (in fact, the NC testing day is tomorrow, March 1). It's a wonderful way to ensure that all students take the test, especially because we are a rural district and some students find it difficult to get transportation to the Saturday exams. It looks like 23 other states require either the SAT or ACT for all juniors (http://blog.prepscholar.com/which-states-require-the-act-full-list-and-advice )(http://blog.prepscholar.com/which-states-require-the-sat)
