Create an exploratory culture of college opportunity in high school

We can start showcasing academic exploration as the key hallmark of college while students are still in high school.

We think about students not being able to explore academic offerings once they get to college due to departmental restrictions, stringent general education requirements, and tightly regemented tracks to a degree. What if we started the conversation earlier?

Many high schools don't have anthropology, astrology or astrophysics classes, let alone teachers. What if during their last year (or two?) of high school, students go through a series of lectures/lessons/presentations in fields of study that aren't represented at their school? What might be possible if students are exposed to these fields before they lock into a college, department or major?

Might some of these lessons be delivered as online content, challenges, or projects?
