A bridge to college program would provide space for students to ask questions, address fears and concerns, develop life skills, workshop applications and essays, hear speakers, and take field trips pertaining to the college process. This program would begin at least by 11th grade and have a dedicated college counselor, as well as a team of teachers to serve as mentors.

Hey Katie,

Cool idea! I'd love to hear more about how this would work. Is this something you've tried? If so, how did it go? What did you learn? If not, where would you begin to bring such a program to your school?

Katie, this is a great idea! You should connect with Trever Reeh  and his Year of Service idea! There might be some places where you can spin off a great idea for what this "Bridge" might look like!
