What can we learn from the systems we have in place to prepare our soldiers to transition to deployments, and then transition home again?

For some of our students, the idea of attending college is as daunting as that of a soldier deploying on behalf of his/her country!

Preparing is a process and proper supports must be in place for success.

Lisa! Super fascinating. What would a college boot-camp look like? Thanks for posting - and if you want to update your post with more detail - like what exactly we can learn from military systems - that'd be awesome! I think there's lots to dig in into here.

Hi Emma,

Some lessons we can share with the success of a soldiers preparation for deployment
-shared-common preparation, emphasis on teamwork and common experiences

-clear understanding of the stressors associated with college deployment

-mentorship and small teams, someone experienced to mentor-guide
-training (preparation) must include all aspects of the college deployment - academics, residency, finance, work, health and hygiene, etc.
