How astronauts transition to life in space

Disorientation, disconnection, and strange new sights require astronauts to transition to life in space. College students do the same.

When I think about transitioning from the comfort of home to the strange new reality of college or the real world, I think about astronauts. They're transitioning to an exciting and scary adventure, filled with unfamiliar scenes and sometimes lonely moments. How do they transition to life away from their family? Or transition to having responsibilities with such a fun view all the time?!

This article lays out some of the challenges astronauts face during their transition.
