I chose to do the "Draw the Experience" activity with a 7th grade female student.  I do not currently have her in class, but know her from having her in my class last year.  I think she did a great job in describing her daily routine in a very linear fashion.

Bryon Banks Thank you for this post Bryon! This is such an awesome visual; when you did this activity, were you hoping to learn about something specific? From this activity, what insights were you you able to gather about her daily routine? Did you notice any opportunities for design or could you identify any unmet needs?

Alysha English I was just trying to get to know this girl a little better. She is a very good student but I don't know anything about her family. It seems that her family is routine oriented and without much variation to their daily schedule. I didn't see much "fun" built into her day. I still don't know much about her family...siblings, parents, pets, etc. I wonder how much actual personal interaction her family has at home? I'm still thinking about design opportunities...

I love that you're proceeding with curiosity and humility; really interesting insight on the "fun" built into her day and routine orientation. I also appreciate the humility you're displaying in acknowledging that you still have a lot to learn about her family and home environment. This is a great start! Look forward to seeing how your design project progresses.
