The idea of parents being a part of the classroom seems to end by junior high. Although it's a necessary transition for students to be more independent, I feel parents would feel a greater connection to their children if they could see the exciting things happening in their classes. ClassDojo is used mainly for elementary schools but something similar could be built in to platforms like Schoology, Edmodo and Canvas.

Hi Ms. Mona Dunne! It makes perfect sense to utilize technology to build the communication between teacher, student, and parents. How do you see the teacher setting up this in the secondary school setting and helping the parents best utilize it?

Also, this would fit well with Ms. Jocelyn Sideco's idea! Check it out at https://collaborate.teachersguild.org//challenge/ittakesateam/ideate/student-vblog-and-parent-video-conferences
