I love that your questions references all students, so often we plan for the extreme learners.
I wonder the foundational learning that needs to take place before you allow students to experiment or do you allow them to work on curiosity and then provide learning.
I wish there was an effective way to break 9-12 silo teaching so that more curiosity could be explored.

Honestly, I am a big fan of working off of curiosity and then provide learning as necessary. It gives students the purpose for the learning, which is exciting.
