That freight train called life after high school is coming 'round the bend: prepared for what happens next?

For many, placement tests stand between us and taking that first step towards achieving our dreams after high school. Are you ready for it? Here's a practice test for the popular (by community college admissions) math Accuplacer.

Curious how you'd do? Take a chance and try the practice test.

What are some creative ways you might prepare yourself if you don't do well? What might you do to help classmates in lower grades to prepare?

How does this idea help to spark student curiosity?

If your students are like my kids being graduated from high school is "the bomb." The possibility their college dreams being held up by a placement test is the furthest thing from their minds. This idea has the potential to broaden their thinking by asking "what if" questions and coming up with mitigation strategies before it's too late.

What grade level is this idea most appropriate for?

  • High School (9-12)

Hi Urbie, thanks for joining The Teachers Guild and adding your idea! It looks like it's not been "Published" yet, so if you're done drafting simply press the blue Publish button at the top of the post to have it added to the collection. Looking forward to collaborating more!
