Visit Schools

Visiting another school, especially one similar to yours, lets you learn new things and, often, realize things you are already doing well.

Hands down, some of the best professional development I have had has been when I visited other schools. I always learn new things and I always get a better perspective on what my school is doing well. There is no registration fee, no big hassle, just professional generosity. Choosing a school similar to yours or one that has already started an initiative that you are considering - lots of different ways to choose the school - will lead to more understanding for yourself. Consider it research.

This is so true and a great example of the kinds of insights we want to hear during this first Discover phase! If there's anything specific you'd like to add from your times visiting other schools, we'd love to hear more.
