Medical Rounds

What if teacher training operated more like teaching hospitals?

Imagine if teacher training programs operated more like the medical profession. What if teachers needed years of "training" before they were ready to run their own classroom? Or what if we built in one day a week teachers were out of their classrooms observing and learning from their colleagues?

The Mayo clinic is a prime example of how the medical profession has used instructional rounds to train doctors in an ongoing manor.

I like the idea and would love to have a school with no classroom doors and a curriculum designer to make the rounds.
