Hold the Meeting in a Nice Place

You'll get our attention by providing a nice location for the P.D.

I believe that the Teachers Guild already has this figured out, but have the educational presentation in a nice place and we'll be attentive and ready to participate. I am teaching a new grade level and a combination class this year. The last thing I need is an extra meeting during the week. There was no requirement for me to attend the introductory presentation regarding this collaboration. I went because I was curious, and it was offered in a fabulous location. I wonder if other educators would be more interested and attentive if the meetings were held in nice "meeting rooms."

Yes! I was thinking about this as I looked at the faces of my colleagues as we filed in to the theater on a recent gloomy morning for PD. Everyone was spent. Even if we couldn't find a beautiful space on short notice, perhaps switching up the location ever now and again would help.
