What if districts curated scholarly journals to which teachers could submit work for peer review and juried publication? As a practicing teacher I sometimes grow hungry for the opportunity to engage in meaningful, legitimate research. Why not encourage teachers to use their prime positions in the classroom as a means toward true inquiry into the fields of pedagogy and beyond? Focused professional growth is sure to be had by the researcher, and the published works could also benefit readers and the district as a whole.

Jessica Hadid --not addressing the research aspect very well but my school is looking into creating a school Medium (https://medium.com) Publication to which teachers will contribute articles and writings as a way to provide an opportunity for their voices to heard. As a publication, the teachers will submit their stories/articles to someone (probably me) and then they will be published within our school's publication (but from their account). I like Medium because it's more interactive than most blog sites and provides an opportunity for more collaboration and interaction (without trolls).
