We wanted to create a service design project around encouraging risk taking, collaboration among students, and facing meaningful challenges. Through diverse student groups, teams will work to identify and solve problems facing their student communities. The projects begin in grade 9 and become more complex and reach a wider audience (communities, countries, world) as they enter grades 10, 11 and 12. Through the process they will learn to work in groups after identifying individual strengths and weaknesses, identify problems in the community through radical collaboration. They will take risks in a low- stakes education environment before expanding to real world situations.
