Designing a sequential arts program at the Middle School Level.

Systems, structures, resources, and arts partners would all come together to make our middle school where every child has access to sequential arts education.


At the 6th grade level:  All students take at least 4 small 6-9 week workshops in an arts area of choice.  


At the 7th grade level: If they chose to continue they would narrow their focus to 2 artistic disciplines and would spend 1 semester in each discipline


At the 8th grade level: Students would take a year long course in their selected artistic discipline, create a portfolio for applying to the school of the arts, and take part in a graduation arts project for the school community (murals, redesign of spaces, producing a concert or play, etc.)
