In AP Research, students have to develop their own unique research question that fills a gap in existing research. Then, they design and carry out their project to complete the research. Question development is something that students find very challenging. By offering each other short recorded feedback in Flipgrid, students peer review each others' work. Students will also use this form to respond to each others' ideas about method, data collection, and interpretation. The video conversation throughout the year on their projects helps the students clearly verbalize their work and their changing ideas about it, which helps them in the presentation and oral defense at the end of the project. I've loved the online community we're developing in the class, with students helping each other to drive forward their research.
