Students will create videos of book reviews to share knowledge and demonstrate understanding of the content.

Students will choose a book to read during silent uninterrupted reading fun (SURF) time (because research has shown that authentic reading, when students choose their own books, increases engagement and therefore comprehension) and will then use Chromebooks and iPads to demonstrate understanding of the book by creating book review videos to share with other students, thereby increasing other students' interest in literacy as well.
