The HMW question inspired me to think about the innovation teams in my district and how they've put routines in place that encourage innovation. This short video showcases three of our teams. As you listen to the team leaders talk about their innovations, take some notes about the routines that they've put in place to nurture a culture of innovation.

The Project CASTLE team implemented passion-based learning and worked with a "loose and tight" structure. Students were able to pursue their passions, but routines were in place in the classroom to allow them to be successful. Students were able to learn with mentors and they created amazing projects which were shared with the community.

Hi Donna, How are you? I think there is a lot of potential behind your idea around passion based learning. The comments below have really started to frame it out in more detail. We would love for you to share it in the ideate phase.

A couple of questions that might help frame out this idea:
 What’s this idea about?
Why is this an idea that creates a culture of innovation?
How would you pitch this to other teachers in your school? Your principal?
How’d you get this idea off the ground?

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or want to talk the idea out in more detail!
