Prior to assigning this task, it will be necessary to teach the character vocabulary, including examples of real life uses.  Front loading this information to students will not only assist with understanding  the concept of character building, it will also provide ideas for those uncomfortable with not feeling in control / fearing making mistakes.

Essential to the success of this activity is setting and following rules for being a respectful audience member.  Based on positive character building traits, provide students with scenarios to perform.  It is my experience that students love to portray two responses, both 'the right way and the wrong way' to show their understanding.
