Classroom Puppy

Have students share the responsibility of taking care of an animal, while also emotionally benefiting from the animal's presence.

Moonshot Idea! Have a full-time classroom puppy for students to help raise and learn about responsibility. Students can take turns talking her/him for walks and cleaning up after her/him. If students are struggling with different emotional issues, the puppy can be beneficial as well to help calm them and offer support.

Haha! This is awesome! This kind of reminds me of the Roots of Empathy program, where a class "adopts" a baby. http://www.rootsofempathy.org/
