I had to control my words when I felt my character being attacked. This reflective and self-control practice worked in my favor in the end!
Optional: What are some character strengths you’ve worked on with students in the past? Why did you focus on these?
I have worked on students being mindful and aware of others. It is important that the words they choose are constructive versus destructive.
Optional: How comfortable do you feel incorporating character education in your curriculum? (1-10, where 10 = very comfortable!)
Optional: Tell us more! What's one thing you wish there was more of / less of when it comes to character learning in schools?
I wish that this could be integrated consistently throughout lessons and disciplines. It doesn't have to be taught in isolation and certainly should not be forgotten or disregarded at the high school level.
