Shadow a High School Student

Many 7th grade students are apathetic and want motivation; want a goal to work toward.

A group of 7th and/or 8th grade students - maybe after applying or based on teacher/counselor recommendation are picked to shadow a high school student. Kid might need to take a career/personality test to be placed with correct high school student. Transportation would be tricky. If all day, perhaps parent could drop off kid. They have to do a reflection when returning. Possible to even have them think of questions they have about high school before they go.

Share insights you heard during your empathy work.

Students said they were curious about high school, they wanted to take filed trips, and they wanted to learn about how things are done outside middle school.
