The purpose of the seminar/symposium is to cascade to all students the institution's goal of inclusion and how student leaders can be partners in living out this goal.
The specific goals may include but are not limited to the following:
- gain a deeper understanding of adolescence and learning needs
- undergo a paradigm shift in perceiving students with learning needs
- recognize students' role in creating a culture of respect and care
- make a personal commitment of respect and care for students and their needs
