Healthy and unhealthy ways to deal with stress

Using an online bulletin board system, like Padlet, have students brainstorm and categorize healthy and unhealthy ways to deal with stress.

As pressure mounts in high school, students may turn to different ways to release stress. Some behaviors may be healthy, like exercise and talking to friends or counselors. Others may be destructive, like substance abuse or social isolation.

Making a board listing all of these behaviors,  then having students decide whether the behaviors are healthy or unhealthy, allows students to voice their own good and experiences, to learn some good behaviors from each other, and generate discussion about what makes a healthy or unhealthy act.

Making it an online bulletin board allows for anonymity, which may allow students more freedom to share.
