Students and teachers went through an exercise during our STEAM vision-casting retreat where they had to assume the identity of various school stakeholders (eg. college counselor, parent, STEM teacher, non-STEM teacher, principal). They then captured Hopes & Dreams, Needs, and Expectations. We affinity mapped and uncovered some central themes that were important to build upon.
A smaller team then took all of the notes from the day (several sessions and LOTS of post its) and synthesized into an "incomplete STEAM manifesto" for our design team to use as guiding document.
