Parking Lot

Students naturally have a lot of questions. It is hard to be able to answer all of them in a day. My idea is for them to post their questions on a "parking lot" poster as they come up. As the day, week, month, goes on, students have an opportunity to select a question off of the parking lot that interest them. The student then researches the question and decide how they would like to present the material to the class. They can create a model, brochure, iMovie, PowerPoint, etc.

Such a simple and cool idea to make learning relevant. It reminds me of why i loved the television show Mythbusters so much. They were using science to figure out things we are all naturally curious about (and the blew stuff up...but that's another post)
