We are continuing to develop a robust space science program at our school.

Two and a half years ago, we had a telescope donated to us after working closely with the San Diego Astronomy Association. That started our space science program. Since, we have put together an astrophotography and astronomy program. We build rockets (up to ten pound aluminum rockets using a sorbitol grain). We launch weather balloons to the upper atmosphere. We have also put together a non-profit to bring this work to other schools in the community. This last piece is where we need support in terms of connections and funding to make it happen. The work is powerful and deep in science, math and engineering.
