I'd love to dedicate an entire day each month to STEM. Immersing ourselves in experimenting, creating, and just being mind blown!!!

Kids do know how to play better than we adults do, and often learn more (from serendipitous discoveries) as a result! My team was just discussing yesterday the Marshmallow Challenge which allowed kindergartners to best adult business school grads in the construction of a tower built with spaghetti and a marshmallow. Kids naturally bring an unfiltered, playful approach to a STEM maker space which could yield powerful discoveries!

Also, this kind of reminds me of Jennifer Gaspar Santos 's STEAM skills are super powers! Host a STEAM ComicCon idea! I wonder if there may be some potential for collaboration!

It would be so incredible to make every single learning experience the students participated in for the entirety of the month to be cross-disciplinary and active!

Our building does this.

They bring in companies and speakers to talk to them about how they will use technology and they get to play around.

Kind of like a Maker Faire! Have you ever been to one? According to their site (if you just Google it), "they're part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new!" Would be fascinating to think about how you bring this to schools, vs. them historically being on weekends and parents have to bring their kids (oftentimes including admission fees).

STEM DAY! Love-how cool would this be?! What kind of activities are you thinking? Is there a time being under-utilized already carved out for this? I have so many awesome thoughts swirling around what this could look like!

I have a million ideas as well! In the perfect world it would be school wide. Classes would rotate all over the building. We would have inventors, scientists, coders, etc. from throughout the community that would hole 30 minute sessions. Sessions could be anything! An outdoor experiment, a lesson in coding, makerspace, bristlebots, engineering, etc! A day of EPIC!!!
